Stefano Pioli tells his Bologna side they need one final push to secure safety with a win over Genoa this lunchtime.

The 11.30am UK time kick-off at the Stadio Dall’Ara is a head-to-head relegation dogfight, though a victory would put them on 45 points.

“Even if there aren’t many rounds left to the end of the season, most of the teams still have an objective to play for,” said the Coach.

“I know full well that Genoa are a side with quality who will therefore come here to play their game with players who can decide a match by themselves.

“We must be every bit as determined and motivated as they are. It’ll be important to win, as three points would give us the almost mathematical certainty of staying in Serie A.

“Our team has an identity now and we hope to prove that against Gigi De Canio’s side too.”

Henry Gimenez, Nico Pulzetti, Jean-Francois Gillet and Rene Krhin are out of action.
