Although six Milan players will sit out the Spezia clash with injuries, Stefano Pioli ensures he is not concerned by his players’ fitness.

Alessandro Florenzi is the last player to have sustained an injury at Milanello, so he will miss tomorrow’s clash against Spezia along with Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Tiemoue Bakayoko, Simon Kjaer, Rade Krunic and Junior Mesias.

However, during his pre-match press conference, Pioli explained why he is not concerned about his players’ injuries.

Pioli: ‘Florenzi injured, Giroud and Calabria return’

“Since the beginning of the season, we’ve only had two muscular injuries, Kessié and Krunic,” Pioli explained.

“All the others suffered muscle fatigue. Messias arrived with a few problems and he is overcoming them. It’s a pity that not all the players are available, but I have a strong team.”

Florenzi has picked up a knock to his knee and Pioli expects him to return to action against Atletico Madrid next week.

Meantime, Olivier Giroud and Davide Calabria will return to action against Spezia tomorrow.
