Stefano Pioli looked ahead to today’s tough match against Fiorentina and touched on the state of Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

The 40-year-old Swedish veteran was represented by super agent Mino Raiola for the last 18 years and spent time with him this week in hospital before he passed away yesterday. It’s undoubtedly a tricky time for Ibrahimovic, who is now reportedly considering joining Raiola’s agency once he retires.

Speaking to DAZN before the game, Pioli first discussed the match at hand.

“It’s very important to start matches well and to know that they are long and there are situations to interpret well. We want to be a team from start to finish.”

He then spoke about Ibrahimovic and how he feels following Raiola’s death.

“These are delicate and personal situations. Zlatan is sensitive and has a big heart, he’s going through particular moments.”
