Security measures were strengthened, and only 12,000 tickets were sold for the game.

Footage of the snipers was shown live by Rai Sport last night, causing outrage on social media in Italy.

The Azzurri ultimately beat Israel 4-1 thanks to goals from Mateo Retegui, Davide Frattesi and a Giovanni Di Lorenzo brace.
