A picture showing six Milan players openly blaming Ciprian Tatarusanu during the derby against Inter has gone viral on social media, raising doubts about how much Rossoneri players trust the Romanian goalkeeper.

The picture shows Milan players pointing fingers at the 36-year-old, who has become the regular starter between the sticks after Mike Maignan’s calf injury in September.

It was during minute 80 and, as reported by Gazzetta, the goalkeeper had not claimed the ball, allowing the Nerazzurri to earn a corner kick.

The players pointing fingers at the goalkeeper were Alexis Saelemaekers, Simon Kjaer, Rade Krunic, Malick Thiaw, Theo Hernandez and Sandro Tonali.

Milan conceded 13 goals in the last four games across all competitions and Tatarusanu was responsible for some of those, especially a couple in a 5-2 loss against Sassuolo when the goalkeeper conceded at his near post.

However, Tata had produced a crucial save on Lautaro Martinez in the first half and according to Gazzetta was ‘the best’ Milan player in Sunday’s derby.

  1. I blame Pioli. It’s his decision to pick up a golie. Tătărușanu is an awful keeper. AC Milan has Antonio Mirante in the squad as well. If Pioli can’t see it then it’s his fault.
