Manuel Locatelli was surprised to be left out of Italy’s Euro 2024 squad and posted a cryptic message on Instagram.
Italy CT Luciano Spalletti has dropped his 30-man preliminary squad for Euro 2024, and one of the most surprising decisions was to leave Locatelli out. The Juventus midfielder has made four appearances under the new Azzurri CT.
Sky Sport Italia reports Locatelli was informed about Spalletti’s decision minutes before the squad was publicly confirmed, and both he and Juventus were left surprised.
The ex-Sassuolo midfielder posted a cryptic message a few minutes later the Azzurri squad was officially confirmed.
It was just a plain black Instagram story which, according to Sky Sport correspondent Paolo Aghemo may represent the midfielder’s mood.
