Fiorentina striker Christian Kouamé has taken to social media to show the scars from Romelu Lukaku’s horror tackle, which cost the Roma star a red card on Sunday.

Lukaku was sent off at minute 87 of Roma’s 1-1 draw against Fiorentina on Sunday after a reckless tackle on Fiorentina striker Koaumé.

The referee’s decision infuriated José Mourinho who didn’t speak to the media after the game and commented on the incident on Monday with an Instagram post. Mourinho smiled after seeing referee Antonio Rapuano show a straight red to Lukaku.

Italian newspapers, however, said on Monday that Rapuano’s decision was legitimate, while Kouamé posted the scars from Lukaku’s challenge in an Instagram story.

The Ivory Coast international also wrote ‘thank god’ probably suggesting that the Belgian striker’s tackle could have had harsher consequences on his left leg.

  1. Oh no, but according to some deluded Roma fans on the Liveblog yesterday, the tackle barely touched the leg. This must be another conspiracy to bring the greatest team in the world down! That leg is a paid artist!
