Federico Chiesa has uploaded a picture of himself representing Juventus from last season on Instagram, along with the Bianconeri colours in his caption, amidst widespread speculation surrounding his future in Turin.

Juventus coach Thiago Motta has informed the Italy international that he is not part of his plans for the upcoming season, and that he needs to find himself a new club before the close of the transfer window.

Motta confirmed that he had left several first team players out of his pre-season friendlies ‘for transfer reasons.’

“We have been very clear with them. They are talented, but must find other options where they will get more playing time.,” he continued.

Chiesa has one year remaining on his current deal with Juventus, but the club would not like to lose him on a free transfer next summer.

The player’s agent has recently been in London to talk with Chelsea and Tottenham, while Roma, Napoli and Inter have all been linked with a move by outlets in Italy over the past week.

However, Calciomercato.com suggest that the player’s preference would be to stay on with Juventus, even though he is not wanted by the current coach and his staff.

  1. Hopefully stays and signs new deal. Madness the way they are treating him. Why throw money at average players when they have Italy’s best winger.
