Since the announcement of Sergio Aguero’s retirement earlier today, tributes have been pouring in from current and former Serie A stars.

The 33-year-old Argentinian striker tearfully announced his decision to retire at the Camp Nou earlier today due to heart-related health problems, a tragic way for such a legendary career to end.

Juventus talisman Paulo Dybala posted a photo of the two of them this afternoon, saying: “Playing with you was an honour Aguero. I wish you all the best in your life and may you be very happy. You’re a star.”

Bianconeri defender Danilo remembered his time with Aguero fondly, posting on his story: “All the best wishes for the next part of your life Aguero. It was a great honour to share great moments with such an amazing player and human being! Legend!”

Roma legend Francesco Totti wanted to pay tribute to Aguero as well, posting a photo of the player alongside the caption: “Good luck Aguero.”

Aguero famously spent 10 years with Manchester City, where he scored 260 goals in 390 appearances, becoming the club’s all-time top scorer and helping them to win five Premier League titles.

  1. In years gone by he would have spent his career at inter then moved to Parma or Torino for his last few years

Vlahovic if he leaves for the epl says a lot about serie a… Can’t feast at the to table anymore

  2. Inter fans are always high no surprise there. They are just bored that Football Italia is really Football Juventus as all the post comes here. Crickets on the Inter site.

  3. @Vero Rossonero and @SArcone… you guys are really high. Read it again… again and again, one more time! Maybe… just maybe you start to understand what @Jon wrote! After that @SArcone can remove the only cricket between his two ears!

  4. lol you made my point I MISS INTER IN THE TRASH COMPACTOR. You only come here as nobody goes to the Inter site. When is Amazon studios going to make a documentary series on Inter?

    Nobody cares about your club.

  5. he never closed to inter when he still on AM or befored that. great ST always rumour but inter never closed to signed him. or even trying to get him on mounrinho , or mancini era.

the only one series a club who closed to sign him is juventus, before they got tevez, if im not mistaken. city selling tevez to juventus then they got aguero. but the transfer that year can gone different route, should tevez not choosing to went to juventus.

  6. “Legend”

    LOL

So every guy who performs so-so or even mediocre will be a legend?

Except for that injury-time goal for Oil City, explain what is the basis for this “legend’s” legendary status?
