Hellas Verona ultras have hung up a shocking banner referencing Napoli and the ongoing Russian invasion of Ukraine ahead of today’s match.

Seen outside the Curva Sud of the Stadio Marc’Antonio Bentegodi this morning was a banner showing the flags of Russia and Ukraine, as well as the co-ordinates of the city of Naples, clearly suggesting that it should be the next target of Russian aggression.

Verona are known to have far-right and extremist ultras, often being at the centre of controversy due to their shocking behaviour. They have regularly insulted Napoli and their fans in the past with a variety of banners.

  1. What a disgusting stadium , how is it even open. This thing shouldn’t be allowed for public use . Disgusting

  2. More evidence of how third world a lot of Italy is. Many think it is just the south. But up and down the peninsula you have these people. Sad for Calcio. The ultras should eliminated for Calcio to regain respect. The owners and players should not treat them any different from the other fans.

  3. It doesn’t make Italy third world you moron. Yes there are idiots there but watch what you say about the country as a whole.

  4. @Joe Have you lived in Italy? Or even traveled there? And yes, a lot of Italy still lives with the clan mentality. I love Italy. And I don’t include everyone you MORON. But the politics and calcio and that thing of theirs can bring out the morons such as you.
