Chelsea defender and former Milan fan favourite Thiago Silva has taken to Instagram to post a video of himself unboxing the special edition Koché Rossoneri shirt worn in the recent 2-0 win over Atalanta in Serie A.

In a brief video posted to the Brazilian’s story, Silva was seen holding up the Rossoneri shirt, which was printed with his name and squad number from his time at the Giuseppe Meazza on the back.

As well as Milan-themed music playing in the background, the 38-year-old wrote “grazie per il vostro affetto di sempre,”, thanks for your affection, always.

The jersey, which was a one-off collaboration between Puma and fashion designer Koché, promised to put a modern touch on the classic red and black of Milan.

The futuristic design is meant to place heritage at the centre of a “new, pixelated universe,” according to a statement on the club website.

Christelle Kocher, founder and creative designer of Koché added: “It was such an honour for me to work on this cult jersey. I am a football fan and AC Milan is one of the most iconic football clubs of all time.

“It was a real pleasure to deep dive into AC Milan’s DNA and give my modern take on the red and black stripes.”
