Inter’s ultras are not impressed with Romelu Lukaku following his recent interview where he apologised for the nature of his departure.

The 28-year-old Belgian forward told Sky Sports recently that he was unhappy with the way that he left the Nerazzurri and he promised to return one day, but this has not won over the Curva Nord, with a banner appearing today commenting on his interview.

Below is a photo of a banner outside the San Siro, which says: “It doesn’t matter who runs away in the rain, it matters who stays in the storm. Bye Romelu.”

Lukaku caused controversy with the interview after stating that he was “not happy with the situation” following his €115m move to Chelsea in the summer. It’s no surprise, then, that coach Thomas Tuchel was not particularly impressed with the interview either.

  1. Well, it’s not like he went to juventus or milan, he went to the first club that bought him in england! This guy helped us get our first scudetto since the triple!

  2. This guy was brought in with a record signing fee, and got paid one of the highest wages in Italy. Stop apologizing for Lukaku.

  3. @Interista… He really deserves this! He thought that he is bigger than club and chickened out when Conte left. Despite the fact that Inter and Conte pulled him from his MU nightmares and he claimed that he was an Inter supporter, all of sudden Chelsea became his dream club! Personally, I appreciate for what he did for us but nothing I liked about his departure NOTHING. IMO he disrespected Inter and you can easily see how Inzaghi was disappointed with him. Beside that we could easily keep Hakimi too,

  4. @PeterTufaro..hey Peter just a quick suggestion. Whenever you want to brand a group of people”morons”, it’s always a good idea to reread your work to make sure it isn’t complete gibberish.
Otherwise you risk looking like a fool, don’t you?
    Happy new year dude.

  5. Footballers say all sorts of trash – its part of their job. Imagine being asked the same old questions over an over.
Considering the situation Inter were in financially it isn’t too much to imagine that Lukaku was shoved out the door as soon a PL club came knocking with its millions. So it wasn’t just Lukaku – but Inter too probably wanted him to go to the PL

  6. After Hakimi was sold the club were quite adamant that no further “big players” were to be sold.
    It wasn’t that long ago.
It would be odd for Suning to release a statement like that if it wasn’t the case.
Lukaku approached the club not the other way around and he did so after Haaland wouldn’t join Chelsea.
    After all his promises.
Again it wasn’t that long ago.

  7. Coupled with the fact that the dude literally just apologized for his behaviour that’s why we’re all here commenting.
Why would he do that if the club sold him against his wishes?
Hakimi wanted to stay, big Rom pretended he did until it suited him.
This is why he is apologizing.
