Gianluigi Donnarumma’s sadness regarding Mino Raiola’s death was palpable in his emotional tribute message.
The 23-year-old Italian shot stopper was represented by the super agent for the entirety of his professional career, helping him earn valuable contracts with Milan before organising his free transfer to Paris Saint-Germain last summer.
Although Raiola wasn’t massively popular with clubs or fans, he was known for doing an incredible job representing his clients and ensuring they got the best possible deal.
Writing on his Instagram page, Donnarumma posted a touching tribute to Raiola, who sadly passed away yesterday.
“I’m so sad that I don’t even know if I’ll be able to say everything I want to.
“Mino, you have been unique to me, I thank you for being by my side from when I was a kid until today and I know that even from up there you will always be watching me and cheering me on as you always have. I made you a promise a long time ago, know that I will keep it….
“I love you. I miss you already.”
