Paul Pogba has started phase two of his recovery plan at Juventus following a recent knee injury.

The 29-year-old French midfielder torn the meniscus in his knee during a pre-season training session during the Bianconeri’s pre-season tour, forcing him out of action almost immediately after his arrival. Pogba’s absence has certainly been felt, with Juventus looking dire in possession in their opening two fixtures.

As reported by Tuttosport, Pogba has recently started some light physical exercises, like running on the treadmill. He chose not to undergo an operation in order to avoid missing out on the World Cup later this year, and instead elected for a more conservative plan that’ll see him work on physiotherapy, gym and swimming pool work.

The former Manchester United midfielder is hoping to be back on the pitch in less than a month and the club are feeling positive regarding his progress.

During his first spell with Juventus, Pogba scored 34 goals and provided 39 assists in 177 appearances.
