Torino sporting director Gianluca Petrachi has travelled to England with the Granata squad in the hope of securing the signing of West Brom’s Kieran Gibbs.

Walter Mazzarri’s team face Liverpool in a pre-season friendly at Anfield this evening, with Petrachi using the visit to conduct important transfer business.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the official will hold talks with left-back Gibbs in the hope of persuading the former Arsenal man to move to Turin.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the official will hold talks with left-back Gibbs in the hope of persuading the former Arsenal man to move to Turin.

The 28-year-old, who played the full 90 minutes in West Brom’s Championship defeat to Bolton on Saturday, is thought to have a number of offers.

Toro reportedly want to sign Gibbs on an initial loan deal, with the option of a permanent deal next summer.

Meanwhile, Petrachi is also said to be keen on securing a deal for Chelsea right-back Ola Aina.
