Andrea Petagna insists tonight’s defeat to Milan ‘must not change’ Napoli’s objectives or outlook for this season.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic bagged a brace at the Stadio San Paolo, while Jens Petter Hauge completed the rout late on after a Dries Mertens goal and Tiemoue Bakayoko’s red card.
“This defeat must not change our objectives, as we are a strong team and we played well today, we just need to be more clinical,” the striker told Sky Sport Italia.
This was the Partenopei’s third consecutive home loss in all competition after AZ Alkmaar and Sassuolo.
“We are well aware of that, but we are getting accustomed to a new tactical system and I think the results will start rolling in from next week.
“We were just missing the final pass today. It’s a long season and we will show that we’re a strong team.”
