After an early couple of scares from Pescara, including Galano hitting the woodwork, Piotr Zielinski broke the deadlock with a ferocious strike.

Kalidou Koulibaly’s volley came off the woodwork, but the Partenopei only really came to life after Petagna replaced Victor Osimhen upfront.

The former SPAL striker set up two goals for Amato Ciciretti and Dries Mertens in the space of three minutes.

Petagna then got on the scoresheet himself with a left-foot finish.

As per protocol following President Aurelio De Laurentiis’ COVID-19 diagnosis, the entire squad and staff took tests, which came back negative.
