In a surprise move, coach Luciano Spalletti has picked Petagna to lead the attack at San Siro rather than Dries Mertens, while Victor Osimhen and Lorenzo Insigne are injured.

Petagna is a reflection of Rossoneri hitman Ibrahimovic, so both are using two very strong, tall, physical centre-forwards.

“We are talking about one of the greatest strikers of all time,” Petagna told DAZN.

“When I was at Milan, I was fortunate and had the honour to have a few training sessions with him. However, we are here now and Napoli will do everything to win.

“We’ve got to feel that fire within us and make the fans happy.”

Petagna, now 26, came up through the Milan youth academy, but started going out on a series of loan spells in 2013.

He was eventually sold to Atalanta for €1m in January 2016.
