Pescara: ‘Napoli want Lapadula’

Pescara confirmed Napoli “are interested in Gianluca Lapadula” after a meeting, but denied reports of a deal worth €8m plus bonuses.
 
The Italian-Peruvian forward is the runaway top scorer in Serie B this season and has taken his team to the promotion play-offs.

“We talked about many things, including Lapadula. Napoli know him, but now we have to focus on the end of the season and then we’ll think about the transfer market.
 
“But yes, I can confirm that Napoli are interested in Lapadula.”
 
There are reports a deal is close to completion for €8m plus another €2m in performance-related bonuses.
 
Napoli have decided to step up talks quickly to beat competition from Juventus, Leicester City and Genoa.
