Pescara President Daniele Sebastiani revealed they have lodged a complaint about referee Paolo Silvio Mazzoleni because of his comments after the 2-0 defeat to Chievo.
“We have lodged a complaint with the Federal Prosecutor,” Sebastiani told Sky Sport Italia.
“After asking the referee for an explanation on the handball incident, he said he didn’t feel ready to give the penalty.
“Then he told our director Delli Carri that we needed to ‘talk better during the week.’ A referee cannot say such things. He could’ve said he didn’t see it, but instead made this very serious accusation.
“There are witnesses, as there were around 20 people there when he said it.
“I probably said over the last few days that we had been slightly penalised by the referees in our last two games, but I also said yesterday that Mazzoleni was one of the best referees in Italy.”
Pescara are practically in Serie B with one point from their last 10 matches.
