The Roman newspaper claims the imminent change of ownership has started the preparations for a host of changes at the Olimpico and one of them seems to be the Argentine forward leaving the club.

Perotti arrived from Genoa in July 2016 and has played 138 games for the club, struggling with several injuries since his arrival in Rome.

Al-Shabab have reportedly offered the player a salary of €2.5m a year but Perotti wants them to match his current wages at Roma, worth €3m a season.

If he moves to Al-Shabab, Perotti will find his compatriot Ever Banega there. The former Inter player signed with the Saudi Arabian club in January.
