Inter winger Ivan Perisic said the Nerazzurri secured ‘three important points’ against Fiorentina on Friday, after scoring the second in a 2-0 win.

The Croatian doubled the lead for Inter after 51 minutes, as Nicolò Barella had given them the lead after 30 minutes.

The Beneamata controlled most of the match at the Artemio Franchi and Perisic believes they could have scored more.

“I think we played a good match,” he told Sky Sport Italia. “We had many opportunities, we could have closed it earlier but we picked up three important points.

“We are first, that’s what counts. Now, we go to Turin to win.”

Perisic referred to the Coppa Italia semi-final against Juventus next week, where Inter aim to turn around a 2-1 defeat from San Siro in the first leg.
