Ivan Perisic is reported to be eyeing a move away from Tottenham after just one season and wants to return to Inter according to the Italian press.
Tuttosport reported on Saturday morning that the Croatian could be set to leave North London after an underwhelming season in the Premier League, in which Spurs currently sit outside of the top four.
The departure of Antonio Conte in March, the man who brought Perisic to both Tottenham and Inter, has only increased the likelihood that the 34-year-old won’t be playing for Spurs next season.
The report claims that Perisic could be swayed by the nostalgia of his time with the Nerazzurri, having won a Scudetto and Coppa Italia in the final two years of his six-season stint in San Siro.
Inter are also said to be hoping to reduce the overall cost of player salaries, yet keep the level of competitiveness within the squad, which could make Perisic, at 34 years of age, an interesting prospect for next season.
