La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that the Nerazzurri have put an offer worth €15m on the table for the Croatia international – a €2m loan fee and €13m obligatory transfer fee following the loan.
However, the German club are believed to be holding out for €20m and a compromise could be reached by Inter offering a further €2m worth of bonuses in the deal.

The newspaper believes that Nerazzurri director general Marco Fassone or sporting director Piero Ausilio could soon leave for Germany to tie up the deal.
Gazzetta also reports that further progress could be made today for Atletico Madrid midfielder Mario Suarez.
Inter are believed to have readied a proposal of €12m for the player and are reportedly willing to offer Suarez a four-year deal worth €3m per season.
