Ivan Perisic admits ‘you can’t say no’ to a club like Inter, after joining from Wolfsburg.
The Croatian international was the Nerazzurri’s primary target this summer, and they eventually got their man after three months of negotiations.
“It was three months of being in a certain situation, but Inter is a great club,” Perisic told journalists at his official presentation.

“It was three months of being in a certain situation, but Inter is a great club,” Perisic told journalists at his official presentation.
“There were difficult moments, but you can’t say no to a club like this. I spoke to Wolfsburg, and in the end I was able to come to Inter.
“It’s the first time that two clubs have been fighting to either keep me or sign me, but Inter really wanted me, especially Coach [Roberto] Mancini. That was very important for me.
“When I heard about Inter’s interest, I was very happy, but not just because of Mancini. I think Inter are a great club, and I wanted to come here.
“Everyone has a responsibility when they play for Inter. I think coming to Inter is the best thing for the rest of my career.
“There are great players here, and a lot of new faces, so I hope we can do better than last season.”
Perisic could make his Beneamta debut in Sunday’s Derby della Madonnina, and the Croatian admits he’s relishing the prospect of facing Milan.
“The derby is the first game, and I’d be very lucky to play in it. Every game is important. Milan had some difficulties last year, and, like Inter, it’s strange that they’re not in Europe.
“The derby is the derby. Everyone wants to win this match. The best thing for a player is to take to the field against teams like Milan and Juventus.”
