Ivan Perisic’s agent gave a cryptic response when leaving a meeting in which Inter raised their contract renewal offer for the Tottenham Hotspur and Juventus target.

The Croatia international was instrumental in their successful campaign, winning the Coppa Italia and the Supercoppa Italiana, while finishing second in Serie A and reaching the Champions League Round of 16.

His current deal expires on June 30 and he will be available to move as a free agent if he doesn’t agree new terms with Inter.

According to Sportitalia and Gazzetta dello Sport pundit Alfredo Pedullà, Inter today raised their offer from €4.5m to €5m per season plus bonuses, taking the total up to €6m.

After the meeting that lasted circa an hour, agent Frane Jurcevic left the building and was asked by reporters if Perisic would sign a new contract.

“We’ll see,” was the response.
