Mattia Perin wants to play and is looking for a way out, but Max Allegri wants to keep him as back-up to Wojciech Szczesny at Juventus.

Juventus need a second goalkeeper after Gianluigi Buffon returned to Parma this summer, but the management at the Old Lady are not convinced about the possibilities on the transfer market.

The Bianconeri have reportedly looked at Brazilian Diego Alves and Argentine Sergio Romero, whilst Emil Audero could possibly return from Sampdoria.

But in recent days the club has stopped looking, as they already have Perin returning from loan at Genoa and Allegri believes he is exactly what the Old Lady needs.

He knows the environment and has already worked with both Szczesny and Allegri. The shot stopper is reliable to take over if the Poland international is out injured or needs rest.

Il Calciomercato.com believes the Bianconeri have decided to continue with Perin, but the player himself is not equally thrilled about returning to the Allianz Stadium.

Perin moved back on loan at Genoa, where he has now spent one and a half years since January 2020.

The report claims the 28-year-old is looking for continuity and feels he needs to move to a team where he will be the protagonist.

Genoa are hoping to keep the player on loan, but his contract with Juventus expires in June 2022 and the outlet claims Fiorentina could be interested in signing a permanent deal with the former Italy international, should Bartlomiej Dragowski move this summer.
