Perin spoke to DAZN after Genoa’s 2-1 win over Napoli.

"We are demonstrating on the pitch the responsibility we have given ourselves. It is nice to see my teammates sacrifice so much, and the results are there to be seen," the 28-year-old said.

"That’s what the coach also asks us, and we are happy to meet his demand,” the Juventus loanee said.

Perin has two Italy caps and received his last call-up in October 2018.

“The CT knows me, if I wouldn’t want to return to the National team I would not be a competitive footballer,” Perin said.

“It’s not easy, I’ve fallen down the pecking order because I haven’t played much over the last seasons and I know I must work more than the others.

“Mancini knows what I can give, a call-up would be welcome, I am working also for this.”
