In spite of his strong recent seasons, which saw the 22-year-old become a regular member of the Azzurri, Perin said he was not being sought after by Roma.

“I believe they've not been enquiring after me,” he told radio broadcast Centro Suono Sport, on occasion of a medical visit in Rome.
“I think they don't like me,” he quipped. “But I can't say anything else for now.”
