Juventus keeper Mattia Perin insists the Bianconeri ‘must remain united’ and reveals how they can achieve consistency in the second part of the campaign.
Perin replaced Wojciech Szczęsny in Juventus’ 1-0 win over Lazio in the Coppa Italia quarter-finals on Thursday night.
“We reacted after not being up to the task against Monza. We had commitment and personality, when it’s like this, we show we are the team that won eight games in a row,” he told Mediaset.
“We were quite consistent until the World Cup break. We noticed we didn’t have the same lucidity in the new year despite two consecutive victories. We remain united, we deserve a lot seeing how we train.”
Juventus will face Inter in the semi-finals and visit Salernitana in Serie A this coming Tuesday. Massimiliano said at a press conference last night that Juventus must consider the Granata as ‘direct rivals’ after a 15-point deduction.
“The past no longer counts. The game with Inter is always great, it’s the Derby d’Italia, but we should think about taking revenge,” noted Perin.
“We focus on one game at a time, now we have Salernitana, that’s the only way to regain consistency.”
