Real Madrid and Super League President Florentino Perez said ‘it wouldn’t make sense’ for Cristiano Ronaldo to move from Juventus to Los Blancos.
During the interview, Perez also spoke about the rumours linking Ronaldo with a return to Los Blancos and claimed the Portuguese will not return to the Spanish capital.
“No, it wouldn’t make sense for Cristiano Ronaldo to return to Real Madrid,” he said and thus quashed the reports of a potential move this summer.
Florentino Perez also pointed at the critics in the media and highlighted that Marca is owned by Torino patron Urbano Cairo, the owner of Juventus’ local rivals Torino.
“The owner of Marca is the owner of Torino,” he said. “I say this to give information and to be transparent.”
The Real Madrid President added that the Super League could discuss reducing games from 90 minutes.
“If young people say football games are too long, maybe it’s because that match isn’t too interesting or maybe we have to shorten the length of the games.”
