Udinese defender Nehuen Perez could be on the move to FC Porto after reports he asked his club to accept the transfer.

The Argentina international turned 24 in June and has for a while been looking to make the next big step in his playing career.

He had already been on the verge of a move to Napoli in January, while before that he was close to Juventus and Inter, but the deal never stuck.

West Ham United had also shown interest earlier this summer.

Perez has heart set on FC Porto

Now transfer expert Fabrizio Romano claims that Perez has specifically asked Udinese to let him leave after FC Porto stepped in with a proposal.

His representatives have already agreed personal terms and now it is between the two clubs to find common ground on a transfer fee.

Perez moved from Atletico Madrid to Udinese initially on loan in 2021, then was purchased outright a year later for €8m plus bonuses.

That includes a buy-back clause for the Colchoneros that is still valid for €15m in the summer of 2024, but they do not seem too intent on activating that.
