Atalanta won 1-0 away at Ajax on Wednesday qualifying for the last 16 stage of the Champions League for the second season in a row.
“It’s extraordinary to see Atalanta presenting the city of Bergamo in Europe,” Percassi told Sky Sport.
“We have lived incredible emotions this year and this game is the proof this working group has achieved an historic result for this club.”
There have been rumours concerning disagreements between Papu Gomez and Gian Piero Gasperini which may lead the coach to leaving La Dea.
“We try to give our best, only the pitch matters, I dedicate the win to all our fans who I am missing massively. The most important thing is to make them proud,” Percassi said.
Will Gasperini and Gomez stay?
“Yes, yes,” he replied.
“It is not our habit to present ourselves in front of the microphones, usually we let the protagonists speak. We try to be present and do well for the club. In all families arguments are part of everyday life. Sometimes they are stronger, but then we must go on. Tonight's result is worth more than a thousand words.”
