Simone Pepe feels Juventus are “more confident after the victory against Milan,” but are without 15 players for the Europa League.

The Bianconeri earned a surprise 2-1 win at San Siro on Saturday evening to relaunch their Scudetto ambitions.

“That result gave us even more belief in our abilities,” Pepe told Juventus Channel.

“That result gave us even more belief in our abilities,” Pepe told Juventus Channel.

“We had it before as well, but now we are even more confident after the victory against Milan.

“On Saturday we did particularly well, especially in defence, and passed an important test.”

Gigi Del Neri said they would not shy away from the title challenge, but Pepe has other ideas.

“I will not say the word,” noted the superstitious winger. “I am only interested in our next games with Salzburg and Cesena.

“It's true we only have three draws in the Europa League so far, but the one at Manchester City was positive.

“We need a victory in order to progress in the competition, which we do all care about. We know there are many injuries, but those who step on to the field will make sure the absentees aren't missed too much.”

With Fabio Quagliarella and Alberto Aquilani cup-tied, Juve are in all missing 15 players for Thursday's match.

The injury crisis is further damaging in Europe because Hasan Salihamidzic and Fabio Grosso were left off the UEFA list, as both expected to be sold in January.
