Juventus’ Federico Peluso insists there’s no point in looking at the League table so soon into the new season.
After losing the leadership of the championship following the 1-1 draw at Inter in Week 3, they remained just two points adrift of leaders Roma with a 2-1 win at Chievo last night.
“We’re at the beginning of the season so we’re not looking at the table yet,” the January signing from Atalanta told JTV.
“We’ll take things on a game by game basis, it would be wrong to think otherwise,” warned the Italian international.
Despite collecting the three points, the Old Lady did have their problems against a Chievo side who took the lead.
“We gained a fundamental win from a good performance,” continued the 29-year-old who was used in the left wing-back role at the Bentegodi.
“We saw that the others dropped points which shows how difficult this League is.
“These games can seem more straightforward on paper when, in fact, they actually end up being very complicated.
“Torino next? The derby is always a particular game, we know how much it matters to both sets of fans, but the most important thing for us is to gain consistency.”
