Juventus’ decision to sign Federico Peluso on a permanent basis was no surprise to the player or his agent.
The Old Lady netted the defender on loan in January, but snapped him up on Monday after agreeing a €4.8m deal with Atalanta.
“We expected Juventus to take up their option to sign him,” representative Beppe Bozzo told Tutto Juve.

“This move makes Federico very proud. It means that Peluso, in his first season at Juventus, was able to find an important place in the team.
“I can confirm that the boy is very happy. He wanted to stay at Juve and his wish has been granted.
“Juventus have great faith in Peluso and he is delighted that he can continue this experience in Bianconero.”
Peluso, now tied to the outfit until June 2017, made 12 Serie A appearances for Antonio Conte’s side in 2012-13. He also played three times in the Champions League.
He was used on the left on a three-man defence and as a left wing-back.
