Luca Pellegrini is in doubt for Juventus’ final game of the year against Cagliari after suffering an injury against Bologna yesterday.
The 22-year-old Italian full back asked to be taken off in the 61st minute of the Bianconeri’s 2-0 win over Sinisa Mihajlovic’s side after noticing a pain in his calf, with Alex Sandro being brought on to replace him.
As reported by Tuttosport, the former Roma full back will undergo a round of medical tests today that will clarify the extent of his injury and how long a possible recovery would take, meaning that he is now in doubt for Juventus’ next match against Cagliari on Tuesday next week.
Coach Massimiliano Allegri will not risk starting Pellegrini against the Sardinian side if his physical condition is uncertain.
The 22-year-old Pellegrini, who is contracted to Juventus until 2025, has recently broken into Allegri’s side, appearing in seven of the Turin side’s last eight league matches.
