Lorenzo Pellegrini’s stunning back-heel flick for Roma against Hellas Verona has been named Serie A Goal of the Month for September.
The strike came in Roma’s first Serie A defeat of the season, eventually falling 3-2 at the Stadio Bentegodi.
Pellegrini’s moment of magic stood out, though, meeting a Rick Karsdorp cross with a cheeky back-heel flick finish in at the near bottom corner.
The 25-year-old already has seven goals and two assists in 10 competitive appearances for Roma so far this season.
That includes four in six Serie A games.
