Lorenzo Pellegrini is expected to start when Roma visit Inter at San Siro on Saturday, but Paulo Dybala remains in doubt.

It kicks off on Saturday at 17.00 UK time (16.00 GMT).

The Giallorossi go into this game on 13 points in sixth place, one ahead of the Nerazzurri, so it is a head-to-head for position.

Rick Karsdorp has been ruled out for six weeks by surgery, joining Georginio Wijnaldum and Ebrima Darboe on the long-term absentee list.

However, the rest of the treatment room has emptied out over the break for international duty, with Stephan El Shaarawy and Marash Kumbulla available again.

Pellegrini pulled out of the Italy squad due to a muscular issue that has now been resolved, as he was already training with the full squad yesterday, so he is expected to start this weekend.

The only real concern remains Dybala, who did not play for Argentina, but did stay with their training camp for two friendly matches.

Sky Sport Italia suggest La Joya could start from the bench on Saturday.

The other issue is that if Dybala does play, then Pellegrini is likely to drop into a deeper midfield role.
