The Italian wants to show his worth in Ligue 1 next season and has vowed to grasp the upcoming season.
“People are wrong in thinking that after two years I’m done at 19,” he told the club’s official website. “I worked on my weaknesses, adductors and flexors.
“This year I hope to start well. The next season must be mine, enough talk, I have worked well.”
The young attacker moved to Monaco for €20m from Genoa in January 2018 but has been struggling with a series of injuries in his first two and a half years with the club.
“I had two years of injuries,” he confessed. “Thinking about it makes me nervous in my stomach.
“Football is my life and I’m constantly training, it’s stressful.”
The youngster has played six times for Les Monegasques and scored once for the Ligue 1 side so far.
