Pedro Rodriguez has made history as only the third player to score in the Derby della Capitale for both Roma and Lazio, but the second to do it in the same calendar year.
The Spain international had found the net for the Giallorossi in this fixture last season, but was allowed to leave for free by Jose Mourinho and moved across the city to their arch-rivals.
He took revenge this evening by scoring against Roma for his new club Lazio at the Stadio Olimpico.
Pedro becomes the third player to find the net in the Rome Derby for both teams, following in the footsteps of Arne Bengt Selmonsson and Aleksandar Kolarov.
However, he is the second after Selmonsson to achieve this feat in the same calendar year.
Selmonsson scored for Lazio in March 1958 and then in the Roma jersey in November 1958.
Pedro’s final goal in the Roma jersey was during a 2-0 win over Lazio on May 15, 2021.
Pedro is back to haunt Mourinho! 😱
A lovely breakaway move is calmly slotted home by the former Roma man…
