Former striker Giampaolo Pazzini said Milan have an advantage with Olivier Giroud and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who are ‘more experienced’ than Napoli’s forwards.

The Partenopei secured a 3-0 win over Bologna on Thursday and returned to the top of the summit, where they are tied on points with Milan.

Pazzini, who spent three years at the Rossoneri between 2012 and 2015, scored 115 goals in Serie A and picked up one Coppa Italia trophy during his career as a player, and he has pointed at Milan’s experienced attack in the battle with Napoli.

“Ibrahimovic and Giroud have more experience than the Napoli strikers,” he told DAZN. “In certain situations, they know how to move and know how to solve the games.

“[Victor] Osimhen, on the other hand, is very sharp, a very strong player. In comparison to milan, Napoli focus more exclusively on Osimhen.”

  1. Napoli are doing a fantastic job but they are too dependent on Osimhen and also I’m pretty sure they can’t cope with injuries like Milan did. As soon as injuries come their way and take out one or two key players they’ll be in trouble, not to mention Osimhen leaving for AFCON for two months.

  2. dont see the point here, i think ppl are forgetting that napoli have experienced players even if they are not as old as the aforementioned its not like they are a team of 20 year olds or havnt been competing at the top for a decade

  3. Ibra is injury prone and giroud is not consistent
so won’t be able to count to much on them,
I would take Oisimen over both of then which a no brainer
We havent seen the best of Lozano , Mertens is just back from injury Mario Rui is begging to hit form and with Patagna as back up Napoli still have plenty in the locker

  4. The good news for Milan is that Zlatan and Giroud are not the only players that can score Milan has other people that can score so they don’t really rely on those two legends of u ask me.

  5. Ahh….Pazzini…luv’d it when he came out with the black facemask with Pazzo written on it…
