Coach Andrea Mandorlini says Giampaolo Pazzini is 'very driven' for Hellas Verona and asks for midfield reinforcements.

The Mastini dispatched Foggia 3-1 in yesterday's Coppa Italia game, showcasing their striking duo of Pazzini and Luca Toni.

“We missed a few goals, but the main thing was winning and we did that,” said Mandorlini after the game.

“Our attitude was positive and we had several chances.

“The difference in leagues made itself clear. Pazzini and [Samuel] Souprayen did very well.

“It's a shame that Gianpaolo didn't score, he had many opportunities.

“It's good that he's so anxious to score at the age of 31. He's very driven to do well.

“[Emil] Halfredsson? We'll have to evaluate him in the next few days, his calf is in a precarious condition.

“[Leandro] Greco is our alternative to [Federico] Viviani, he played his game and I don't think I'll use Rafa Marquez in front of the defence.

“We recovered Romulo and we're recovering [Artur] Ionita, but numerically speaking we're lacking something.”
