Livorno striker Paulinho is set to reject Verona, Stoke City, West Ham and Southampton for Al Arabi.

The centre-forward is allowed to leave Livorno for €7m after the club’s relegation to Serie B.

This week President Aldo Spinelli confirmed the offers had arrived from “Verona, West Ham, Stoke City and Southampton, while in Dubai two clubs are interested.

“As far as we are concerned, one club is as good as another. It’s up to him now.”

According to Sky Sport Italia, this afternoon Paulinho’s negotiations with Hellas Verona broke down and he is ready to sign for Qatari club Al Arabi.

The three-year deal is expected to be worth €2m per season.

Their manager is Dan Petrescu and they play in the Qatar Stars League.

The 28-year-old Brazilian scored 15 Serie A goals in 35 games last season.
