According to the latest reports in Italy, Olympique Marseille have agreed terms with Roma for goalkeeper Pau Lopez, on loan with option to buy.

The negotiations have been going on for several days and there were discussions over whether it would be an option to buy or an obligation if certain conditions were met.

Tuttomercatoweb claim that the final deal they agreed on was a one-season loan at a cost of €0.5m with an option to buy for circa €15m.

There will be no obligation to make the transfer permanent at the end of the season.

The two clubs are also in talks for a similar switch regarding Turkey international Cengiz Under, who just returned from his loan spell at Leicester City.

That deal is not quite at the same advanced stage as Pau Lopez, but is also progressing well.

Pau Lopez’s transfer to Marseille will open up the spot for Roma to bring in Portugal international Rui Patricio from Wolverhampton Wanderers.

That move is expected to cost €8-10m plus bonuses.
