The injury could also affect the possibilities on the transfer market this summer, as Roma have reportedly been looking for a new goalkeeper to replace the 26-year-old.

Pau Lopez arrived from Real Betis in July 2019 for a reported €23.5m and has since played 76 competitive games with the Giallorossi.

His contract at the Olimpico expires in June 2024.
