Alexandre Pato has issued an immediate denial to reports this afternoon that suggested he had agreed a €35m transfer to Paris Saint-Germain.
A report by French news agency AFP claimed that the 22-year-old had agreed terms on a three-and-a-half-year contract worth upwards of €6m a year.
However, within hours of that story emerging, Pato offered an official communication through Milan’s website.

“Milan is my home. I did not want to interrupt my career with the Rossoneri after winning my first two trophies with this shirt.
“I want to contribute to the writing of Milan’s history and to the future success of this club, in perfect harmony with everything.
“This joy gives me the energy to face future matches with more enthusiasm, with the desire to win and to score goals.
“Today is a special day for me. I thank the Prime Minister Berlusconi, the club and the fans who have always believed in me.”
Meanwhile, Pato’s agent, Gilmar Veloz also confirmed to Tuttomercatoweb.com that the player’s intention is to remain at San Siro.
“Pato remains at Milan, he is a Milan player and there is no intention to change that.
“Alexandre stays with Milan, he has a contract and wants to respect it because he is linked to Berlusconi, the club and the fans.
“I thank Leonardo. We spoke about it too. But Pato has Milan in his mind, he wants to stay.”
