Brazilian forward Alexandre Pato has revealed he ‘dreams of a return’ to Milan. ‘Me and Zlatan Ibrahimovic would form a great pair’.

The 31-year-old has been without a club since he was released by Sao Paulo last summer and the centre-forward, who spent six seasons with Milan between 2007 and 2013, admitted he dreams of a return to San Siro.

“I have great memories, we are talking about 150 games, 63 goals, a Scudetto and a Supercoppa Italiana,” he told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

“It would be a dream to be able to return to Milan, which is in my heart.”

The former Rossonero was asked if he would accept a role as deputy to Zlatan, but he claimed the two could play together.

“I would say yes, what’s the problem? But simply because I wouldn’t come to be the deputy,” he said and laughed as he continued: “I would play, a couple of matches would be enough to convince the coach.

“No, come on, let’s say that maybe we could play together. We would be a great couple.”
