Pastore: ‘Ranieri talked to every player’

Javier Pastore praised Claudio Ranieri for “talking to every single Roma player” and sniped at former Coach Eusebio Di Francesco.

El Flaco started his first Serie A match since September and made quite an impact in the 3-0 win over Cagliari, scoring the second goal.

“We played a good game, the important thing was to win, take three points and keep challenging for a Champions League spot,” Pastore told Sky Sport Italia.

“It was a strong performance and I think Ranieri understood the situation we were in, which wasn’t the right one. He spoke to every single player, asked us about our football and put it all together to help us with our self-confidence. You can see the results on the field.

“I was unlucky to pick up an injury right at the start of the season, then after that I wasn’t considered an option for the previous Coach. I lost many months, but I am ready now and in good shape, eager to give my contribution.”
