Earlier this week El Flaco had caused shockwaves when stating he would only remain with the Rosanero if their Coach kept his job next season.

As Pastore has numerous offers from Roma, Juventus, Real Madrid and Barcelona, this worried the Sicilians.

“At this moment I am not thinking about my future, then we'll see at the end of the season,” the player declared in today's Press conference.

“I don't think I'll be leaving, especially after the talk I had with President Maurizio Zamparini.

“I'll certainly stay at Palermo! My future does not depend on Rossi. It's also not true that I have been approached by Roma. I just talk to Walter Sabatini often because he is a friend.”

Sabatini is the former director of sport at Palermo and is the hot favourite to take over at the new Giallorossi under American investor Thomas Di Benedetto.
